I remember watching an episode of the original Iron Chef a few years back and being impressed by a challenger who operated an Italian food cart out of a Buddhist temple in Japan.
Well, we apparently have Italian food carts here as well. I happened to pass through Pupatella’s release party this weekend. They had closed, but they still gave me a sample of tiramisu, and it was fabulous.
Pupatella is open Monday through Friday 730am-2:30pm, so if you work in Ballston, give it a try.

WOW!!!
Ballston just got alot cooler!!!
I tryed there pizza one day and it was amazing.
Better than any sit down pizzeria around, a little small but I talked to the owners (by the way Enzo and Anastayia are both very nice) and they said they are going to make it a little bigger, but the flavor is spot on. I have all become a rice ball fanatic, I have to get my fix just about everyday, and what could I say about there fried calzone, you just cant get that anywhere and its just out of this world. Thank you for bringing us PUPATELLA!!!!
Jason,

great job guys and the pizza is amazing
not to take away from the rest of the menu..
its all good at PUPATELLA’s
They are still open and serving pizza and crepes, so it’s a Russian woman selling Italian and French food. Works for me!
It is a storefront now (no longer a food stand). Same website.
