Today was one of two soft launches for Whole Foods Foggy Bottom‘s new addition, the vegan and gluten free prepared foods venue, DC Dosa. Today’s soft launch ends at 2pm, but there will be another in January, as part of their Wine Down Wednesday Happy Hour (on January 9th from 5-7pm). It was great that I got to try their dosas for free today as part of the first soft launch. Take advantage of the soft launch on the 9th, although the menu will differ from what I tried today.

DC Dosa was the winner of the Startup Kitchen program by Think Local First DC. What did you think of the setup, and more importantly, of the food?
It wasn’t the final setup. it was just a table with temporary heating elements. Normally, DC Dosa will be with the other prepared foods. I really didnt get to try much. I tried one Dosa, and I don’t know much about dosas. Plus it’s vegan. I’ll leave it to others to decide this one, and the other soft opening is a good time for that. I’m really just letting people know about the other soft opening–I’m not trying to write a review here.
