Living Socal currently has a deal of $25 for a certificate for $50 worth on non alcoholic purchases at Arrowine Wine & Cheese in Arlington. I HAD to purchase it since they have a great selection of cheeses, charcuterie, and other gourmet items. LS also has a $10 for $20 deal for Taqueria Distrito Federal in DC, which is one of my favorite taco joints.

I used the certificate this weekend. Some of my purchses included Artequeso Manchego, 7 Year Hooks Cheddar, smoked brisket from NJ (from the coldcut case), Vermont Creamery Goat Cheese, Z Basil & Garlic Crackers, Feridies Virginia Peanuts, one of LeoNora’s bagette’s , some olives, and Cavanna’s Artichoke-Pesto Cannelloni. LeoNora is aFrench Bakery in Clarendon and Cavanna is based in Richmond but sells at the Courthouse armer’s Market in Clarendon. Frozen pasta and icecream are excluded from the cerificate, but I purchased the cannelloni anyway (I’ve tried it and written about it previously).
