Café Saint-Ex and Bar Pilar Heat Things up for Charity with Second Annual Memorial Day Chili Cook-Off
WHAT: Think you know chili? Café Saint-Ex & Bar Pilar are offering locals the opportunity to take on their culinary skills at their second annual Memorial Day Chili Cook-Off on Monday, May 31 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m to raise money for the local Fillmore Arts Center. Local chili masters will compete against the culinary best of Café Saint-Ex and Bar Pilar including Executive Chefs Billy Klein and Justin Bittner for the best chili recipe. The family-friendly community event will also offer face painting for children, temporary tattoos, and a local student-run fresh lemonade stand to also raise money for the cause. The public is invited to join the festivities and sample some of DC’s best chili while supporting local arts.
A panel of five judges will name the winners. Winners will take home exciting prizes ranging from cookware to Washington Nationals tickets. Contestants wishing to take on the Saint-Ex & Pilar chili gurus must sign up in person at Café Saint-Ex by May 24th to compete in the cook-off.
